LX drivers know that when you press the "lock icon" on the key, the amber parking lamps and tail lamps blink once. When you click it the second time, the horn sounds as well. Now, the other day when I pressed the "lock icon" the door locked as usual, but when I press the "lock icon" the second time, the horn did not sound!!!!!!!!

After a while I found that because the hood was held down only by the hood latch lever!!!!!!! Now, I know if the hood is not totally engaged, the horn will not sound when key fob is pressed the second time. Nice to know.

 

It's more of a beep. If you look at the latch there is a wire for the beeper. Someone mentioned the repair shop didn't reconnect it and it wouldn't beep like before
