I hear it, I have the same issue in my 2013 Honda Fit Sport, if I turn on the radio and ac I usually don't hear it...for me it's coming from the back sorta in the middle and it's really annoying.

I'm getting an oil change Monday. Either they fix it or I'm tearing my headliner off.

Not sure what a body weld is. All I know is when I push up on the headliner while driving the sound stops.

sounds metallic? Maybe the large nut holding the antenna assemble on underneath is loose. Also, I once had a similar sound in another car and it was a loose screw in one of the grab handles rattling around its plastic well.

Finally got an update.

I dropped my car off today for diagnostics. They had to drive around with the headliner off touching all 32(?) parts up there while driving to see which made the noise.

They're confident that it has to do with a pillar airbag thing, and that the attachment is causing it to rattle.

Apparently this is a big to-do so they're keeping my car until tomorrow.

I get to pay $300 to make my car silent! Woo hoo! I really hope this'll be the end of this.

More specifics.

They said it was a wire that would sometimes pop out of a track and vibrate between an airbag assembly and a bolt. They had to remove an ungodly amount of things to get to it. They said the sound is now gone and if it returns they'll fix it for free.

Time to pick up my car and see for myself!

glad they pinned it down

i was riding in a test drive for a 2016 and noticed this exact same sound coming from
the headliner. I was riding in the back and made a note of it. Test drover another fit different model color and it didn’t have the sound. I’m certain there is a common issue with that cable.

Well I guess Honda can do something to eliminate the chance of that happening on new cars they're building. Oh wait, they're winding down production of the Fit so I guess they don't care any more.
