Radio Day/Night Wiring?

Has anyone figured out what wiring in the car I could tap to trigger the day/night mode of a Sony Android Auto head unit? Crutchfield didn't know and a cursory look (rather more than that actually) came back empty. Right now it's a pain. The interface on the head unit is so convoluted that it's annoying to change frequently, Android Auto used to be able to maintain this via the phone but removed that functionality for some totally odd reason and now I have to choose between readable during the day and blaringly bright at night or unreadable during the day, but useful at night.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated. This is for a 2016 Fit LX.

There is a tweak available in the android auto developer mode menu. You can toggle between car controlled & phone controlled day and night settings:

Spoke too soon. So it basically "worked", but not as I expected. If I turn that on via Dev mode I can set Day mode and after a restart it will show AA in Day mode. If I set it to Night mode it will, after a restart, show AA in Night mode... as expected. If I set it to Car Control it just stays stuck at the last setting and that's also as expected as I have the wiring incorrect as I'm not clear on what wire in the Fit provides the right data. If I set it to Phone Control it switched during my testing from Night to Day and I assumed that was because it ways day time. I just checked and it's still in day mode even though it's very dark and clearly night here (EST). I ASSUMED "Phone Control" meant the phone would tell AA if it's Day or Night, but apparently it appears it just applies whatever theme the phone is set to. I have no idea what mine is, but I know it's not a dark theme.

So frustrating. Thanks for trying.
