Much of our regular 87 Octane unleaded gas has 10% Ethanol. In Europe, gas stations describe different types of gasoline based on their RON rating. It is typical to have 100, 99, 98, 97 or 95 RON with prices varying accordingly. In the States the descriptions look a lot like RON, but they are not. However, my 2017 Fit LX CVT has been getting over 40 mpg on the highways. Recent trip 2003 miles (3225 km) I got 43.7 mpg (5.38 liter/100km).

thanks for your reply, so you have 10% as the max (except for E85) and are they planning for go to E15 or E20 in the future in the states?

Minor point worth noting that when Americans use the term "mpg" they're referring to the US gallon which is about 20% smaller than the old Imperial gallon.
