Thumbs up random 130k mile update - still drives & sounds like new [video]

Just finished another oil change, and I thought I'd share a video of how the engine is running after 4 years and 130,000 miles.

oil (& oil filter) change every 3-5k miles, with 15k mile rated oil.

Good to know! 2017 LX CVT with 88K miles. Oil/filter change at 20%, or around 9,400 miles between changes. Still look new too. Not the time to buy a new car.

Our '15 is doing well, although it's relatively low mileage at abput 70,000 ...which reminds me, I need to get my oil changed....it's at 40% but been about a year. I see no problem keeping this car for a long time, probably be my last chance to buy a manual.....I hate CVTs, still not confident in their reliability - yeah, am an old man

Nice. Looks like a manual, based on the fact that I see the slave cylinder. Double nice.

Looks good too! I like seeing pictures of engine compartments where everything is relatively clean. Too often people post a video with their engine compartment caked in dirt and crap. When I see that it's hard to believe they put much effort into maintenance.

Considering your oil change interval, did you have any failed VTC symptoms during your ownership?
Have you always changed the oil at 3-5k miles?

thanks in advance

There's quite a bit of grime that could do with some power washing on the block, but that doesn't show in the pictures lol.

+ No noticeable VTC issues.
+ Yes, that's been the interval since purchasing the car. It had roughly 34 miles on the ODO when I picked it up from the dealership. Changed the break-in oil and filter at 500 miles, kept RPMs under 4k during that period.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions!
