Red face Budget Build

So I have a 2019 Honda Fit LX. I'm looking to either pimp it out or increase performance. I have around $300 to put in the build for now. Thanks for your responses!

Maybe a Progress rear sway bar and... generic front lip spoiler if one is available for the later facelift models? That would work out to be ~250 shipped. Or if you're mechanically inclined you could probably do lowering springs for about that amount.

I agree, super easy install and it helped the understeer and also overall stability on the highway, less swaying side to side. I'd recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't say night and day difference, but definitely an improvement.

Powerflex urethane bushings

One of the most underrated mods ever but really sets the car up nice. About $300 for front a arms and rear axle (whole car). And while you're at it, the Savanini rigid collars... camber bolts up front and shims for the rear are also cheap mods. The hfp shocks and springs are nice but I think like 600 bucks. Ktuner without the screen is like $450. The stage 1 tune really improves engine performance. Pedal commander is nice $300. Maybe a CAI $200. Acuity shift fork bushings are an easy mod if you have MT.

I've been considering the Powerflex bushings for a while now. How rough is the install? Worth the $300? Likewise, I'm planning to install HFP suspension here soon. It's a pretty subtle drop, but still a few centimeters. Is it worth getting roll center adjusters to go along with?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I can't comment on the Powerflex bushings, however the HFP suspension is actually only a 10mm (1cm) drop.

Not that a small drop is a problem, but every roll center adjuster for the Fit I've seen is engineered to work with at least a 20mm drop at minimum. If you run them with only a 10mm drop you'd be out of spec the opposite direction. Can't comment on how big of a problem that may or may not be, but the manufacturers listings I've seen are very clear about it.

You rock, thanks Done Deal DR! I figured Honda wouldn't release something that would screw up suspension geometry too much, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't causing additional issues by installing HFP suspension.

I'd also echo the value of the Progress RSB. Can't go wrong there!

I went with the 'Magic Collar' brand collars from kanthachai on Ebay. These in specific: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324102015984. I'm quite happy with them. Real quick shipping and a decent price for the front/rear ($185 shipped). I've seen the Savanini collars on Aliexpress; it might be worth browsing there if you're looking for those in specific. If I recall, they're a tidge cheaper than the Magic Collar brand ones.

Hot damn, that's a heck of a jump. If I ever redo suspension work, I'll probably pick up a set of Savaninis. Seeing as they're basically just crush washers, I doubt there's much of a difference between the Savanini, Magic Collars, and Spoons.

+1
I pulled the trigger on a set of Savanini's last night for $50cad shipped from AliExpress.
I didn't feel comfortable with using my CC number, so I paid with paypal

Gents, thank you for the replies.
