Oh man, this fuel injector letter is confirming that I wasn’t crazy when I was calling Honda to see if they had a recall on the fuel system.

I went through hell late 2019 - Summer 2020. I went to the Honda dealership and paid for the diagnosis for them to tell me I needed a new cat. I have taken good care of my car since I purchased it new. The dealership wasn’t helpful and they were not answering me correctly.

I then got a second and third opinion and it seemed like the fuel injectors ruined a lot of the other systems that are dependent on having a good fuel to air ratio. The mechanics/techs were the ones telling me to call Honda(but they had no idea what I was talking about). I spent $3K to get new fuel injectors, a new cat installed, and O2 sensors so I definitely sent Honda all my receipts for all the hell I went through.

 

mine failed. Waiting on parts now for free replacement.

 

I wonder if the fuel injectors are why I'm still getting a po420 code on my 2019.

 

Of course, my 2016 fit is showing all the symptoms of the fuel-injector problems but the extended warranty doesn't apply to my VIN according to the "AskDave.honda" site and the phone number listed on the Warranty Extension notice.

Am I the only one? How urgent is the fuel injector problem if, so far, it's just barely noticeable unstable idling and lights on the dashboard? Don't think I can afford this right now, even if I do it myself.

 

Hello. My VIN number is not eligible for service Bulletin, but my fuel injectors were failing under 100k miles so my car obviously has a manufacturing error.
How can i get a reimbursement?
