2015 EX Starting problem
Hello Fit specialists. I am looking for advice for a starting problem on my 2015 EX 38000Km. Sometimes it starts on the 1st shot and sometimes it takes several shots. It's not the battery and I've tested 2 starters, 1 used and 1 refurbished! Suggestions ??? Thank you!Hello Fit specialists. I am looking for advice for a starting problem on my 2015 EX 38000Km. Merci!

I see you have an EX, do you have the push start button? It may be the culprit as I have read in this forum. For me, I keep things simple. I have a LX. I start the car by twisting the key in the steering column, and I always use the cheapest regular gas available. With 104k miles on the clock, I never had a starting problem.

Welcome. I've long believed that on the pushbutton start Fits, the circuit design is inadequate to buffer the load at startup.
As a result, both the start switch and the starter are prone to premature failure, and often when one goes, it's ascribed to the other. Diagnosis roulette ensues.
According to recent reports here, Honda has started goodwilling the start switch, but not the starter.
You might want to check with your Honda dealer to see if they cover the start switch.

I recently had a starter system issue that was not mechanically related. Plastic pieces that used to contact the sensors in my brake and clutch broke apart, so the vehicle prevented starting. I wrote a post about this issue
