Clutch Slipped At 84,000 Miles.
Clutch Slipping
Glad it's worked out for you!
wow.... have never needed a clutch over the lives of several manual cars.....my '15 Fit has about 73;000 miles on it and is tight enough to stall in a heartbeat if ya have the radio too loud and aren't listening to what the engine's doing. Have driven previous cars harder, my old'75 Celica went 160.000+ on original clutch.
I bet the new one feels great

The only reason I had my clutch replaced on my 88 3 series, was due to a faulty throw out bearing.
New Clutch.

The new Clutch feels great. Clutch pedal kicks in right away. Not like before half way up.
Car runs smoother and alot quieter. Just like I drove off the Honda Dealer parking lot in 2015.
Clutch Install.
Glad to hear it runs great now. My fit has about 28k miles on it and the stock clutch is still super strong. I was just curious about what parts were used but if a Honda Dealer did the work it should be all OEM parts. Do you mind if I ask how much they charged you for parts and labor? You also mentioned the clutch engagement point is a lot better now. That's one thing I noticed about my fit, the friction point is really high up (a little over half way of total clutch movement) before it starts to grab, however once it does its a strong connection, no slipping. I've talked to various other fit owners and they claim it's nothing to worry about, it's set that way from the factory.
While on the subject, another thing I noticed when shifting under hard acceleration is rev hang, have you experienced this in your fit? I've seen online it's caused by a clutch delay valve and a lot of people do a delete because it isn't needed and they find the rev hang annoying. I also find it annoying so it was something I was looking into doing.
Cost.

Clutch, Pressure Plate, Flywheel. Along with Front Alignment, new Trans. Fluid. I had to buy the parts. All factory Honda. Total price was 4200 dollars. Not cheap. My Fit is running great.
