Electrical problems on a 2016 fit?

Hi, I’m new here and wondering if anyone else has had these problems(and maybe has solutions). Three days ago, I left a dome light on and my battery died overnight. I got it charged, but now my car won’t start without putting my key fob to the button, and when it does my radio doesn’t turn on. I also can’t lock/unlock the car with my key fob, my lights don’t turn on with the door when the car is off, and I can’t use the lock/unlock button on the door if the car is off. I’ve been having issues with the start/stop button in the past (taking 10+ pushes to start the car, sometimes 3-4 pushes to turn it off) I’m wondering if the getting the button replaced will fix these issues or if it’s something else entirely? I’ve seen that lots of others have had problems with the stop/start button, I don’t know how that would tie into the other problems but that’s the only issue I’ve had with this car since I bought it. Also, I have no lights on the dash indicating a battery issue.

Intermittent no starts due to this are pretty common on 15+ Hondas. Mostly the Pilots, but I believe the Fits had the same issue as well. Replacing the start button for this is what we do on the Pilots, so not a bad place to start.

Welcome. I've always believed the circuit design on the pushbutton start Fits is inadequate to buffer the load at startup.

As a result, both the start switch and the starter are prone to premature failure. When one goes, it's often ascribed to the other, and diagnosis roulette ensues.

According to recent reports here, Honda has recently begun to goodwill the start switch, but not the starter.

Good luck, and let us know how it plays out.
