CVT fluid change- some information

It was way easier than I thought it would be. Just need a funnel with a flexible hose at least 16" long. Both drain and side fill plug are easy to get to.

When people say the stuff sprays out when you take the drain bolt out they were not kidding. I've been changing oil for decades, and ATF a few times, but this sprayed far. I had my car on rhino ramps, with the tires to the outside of the ramp (i.e. ramp was closer to the drain than it could've been). And the ramp got sprayed until I lifted the drain pan to catch it. So I suggest, before you take the bolt out, you put something a few inches thick under the drain pan to elevate it.

A reminder to make sure you can loosen the refill plug before you drain the transmission. I also made sure my funnel hose reached and could be stuck into the hole before I drained it.

It drains for a long time. I thought that after a half-hour it would just be dripping but no, it was still streaming, albeit a thin stream.

I put in 3.7 quarts and it still wasn't spilling out of the hole, but then the hole's in the front and the front of the car was on ramps. When I lowered the car and took the bolt out, only a tiny amount of fluid came out. Maybe because I let it drain way longer than anybody would be expected to.
