Hi, Oxygen Sensors
Hi, Oxygen Sensors
Hi everyone, when I logged in it told me my last visit was 2018, so it’s been a while. Bought my first Fit in June 2008. Can’t say enough about how well that car treated me. 8 years 208,000 miles, and the only non expected expense was $146.00 for a transmission sensor at 142,000 miles. So in 2016 I gave it to my nephew and bought a 2016 Fit. Got 146,000 miles on this and have a P0420 code. Talked with a mechanic I would trust with my life and he advised replacing the oxygen sensors. I have just bought the sensors, Honda OEM, and now we come to my question/advice I’m seeking……Does anyone have any info on where the rear sensor is? And how to get to it, to replace it? Can’t find much help online, they all talk about/show a 2007 Fit. Remove the console and get at it from there in the cabin. Is this still viable on a 2016? Any help advice I can get would be appreciated. I am not a mechanic, but am an electrician, so I have some skills with tools/mechical thinking. I haven’t been on here in 4 years because this is the first issue I’ve had with the car.
Welcome back. Code p0420 might be your injectors failing. See this thread:

It's me! Hi! I'm the problem, it's me
signed, t swift and your o2 sensors :P
rear sensor is under the car. 2nd cat or maybe it is a noise box it's mounted to. It could be rusted if you live up north. The front sensor is much harder to access, up stream of that.
