Question Radiator hose & cooling system bleeding

Hi, guys,

I had just replaced my '15 radiator & ac condenser fans and I had to remove the radiator hose to get to the radiator fan (I failed to read the service manual before doing it).
As expected, a good amount of coolant spewed out of the hose, I have installed the replacement fans and reinstalled the hose properly.
I've driven it for a while to check the temps and it hovers around 94 - 98 degree celsius (which I think is a bit high).

Just like to know if I have to bleed the cooling system or it'll sort itself out via the expansion tank?

Thanks!

It should. Be sure your expansion tank it filled to the upper limit. Drive the car until fully at running temperature (normal driving). Check it the next day, after the engine has completely cooled. The expansion tank level will, if necessary, drop, but it shouldn't drop below the lower limit, so you'll be safe. Refill expansion tank to upper limit.

Hi @Mister Coffee,

Thanks! I've done it now and so far so good, just a bit high on the ECT side. Mainly hovers around 95-98 degrees celsius. My 2nd gen hovered around 87-90. Maybe it's just the outside temperature.

EDIT: Turns out my thermostat was going bad. After I replaced it, my ECT temperature went down to 85-88.
