Finally got new tires on my Fit, off the OEM's garbage tires.

 

Drive a few thousand miles. That will tell you how good or bad your tires are.

Driving after you installed the tires won't give you an accurate assessment of the tires.

 

Had the previous version of those Sumitomos on our 2011 Sport MT. Found a deal online that I couldn't pass up, figured it was worth taking a chance. They wear pretty well, handle well, nice grip in the wet compared to the crappy Firestones. The only issue is they are a bit noisy compared to the Vredesteins that I put on the 2018, but they are cheaper.

 

I agree with waiting a little bit for tire break in but I'll also but it to you this way...

The GK Sport/EX/EXL's Firestone FR740 makes the Dunlop SP7000 A/S (standard on most GE Sports) feel decently good when installed on a GK . Both are rather midcore to okish at best. The Firestones have a terribly stiff sidewall and questionable traction wet or dry. LOL
