hi im new to honda fit world and i want to make a swap between a type r k20c1 standar for mi fit, its possible to achieve this. does any one know if it would fit ?

pd: i just like this car very much and want to make this happend

 

Keep dreaming. Not really an easy swap for somebody that is brand new to the scene. No step by step instructions. No mount kits. All custom fab work.

 

will it be easier if it was a k20 acura or civic si?

This is not a cheap nor an easy undertaking, as NWCH has said.

 

The problem isn't the mounts, it's the electronics. With everything running CANBUS now, you can't get the dash to talk to an engine from a different car, especially if you're talking about a K engine from the days before CANBUS.

There are guys on youtube showing off K swap GK Fits, but they look to have full aftermarket engine management systems. These also won't talk to your dash, so you need a racecar style digital display. Like $3k for just engine management, which has caused everyone here on the forum to give it a hard pass.

Look at the axion swap thread in the engine section of the forum, I posted some info from various manufacturers. It's depressing though, Axion keeps saying they're going to get the electronics done for an L15B7 turbo swap, but it's been years and no real progress.

 

If you want to run standalone engine management and give up every creature comfort, it's possible. But your car won't be close to street legal in the US at least.
