Disable Anti-thief System

I have a 2017 Honda Fit LX with keyfob to unlock/lock, and to start the car through the steering column.

Recently, the dash flashes and the radio flashes a red light if I lock the car. Previously, when the doors are locked nothing flashes. I am not sure what I did that enabled the flashings. Did I leave the key in the ignition too long? Did I rotate the ignition to on/off too many times without actually starting the car?
I checked manual that came with the car, and there exists another 486+/- page manual in the internet, but none helped. There are youtube videos on how to disable the flashings, but they have not worked. The dealer SA and tech don't know and are not very helpful. 5 day wait for service and maybe the region tech can help. Basically, no body there care to know.

Does anyone know how to disable the flashings? I believe it is the anti-thief system, or what Honda calls immobillization system. Regardless, long time ago I was able to disable what causes the dash and the radio to flash a red light. Also, when I lock the car, the headlight/parking light flashes. I want to disable that feature as well. Help me!

Hey bud! Hoping all is well!

From what you're describing, it sounds like your little LX is functioning normally.

The alarm system will arm by either the exterior door lock switch cycling to the lock position OR if the lock request is hit via the key fob. After a period of about 15 seconds, the red security indicator (See Pages 79 and 111) should run on a 2 second flash loop if I recall correctly. This feature is passive and as far as I recall cannot be disabled but does verify that the security system is active.

Same goes with the lights flashing during lock/unlock requests after reviewing the owners personalized settings for your trim level. Now... On the EX and higher trims with one push start, I do know that there are more personalization options for the keyless entry and even more so on the facelifted cars with Honda Sensing.

With that said, I believe the only way to lock the car without arming the security system would be to hit the lock button on the door switch while exiting. Though doing that put you at risk for locking yourself out the car if you drop the keys in it during exit.

I am not dreaming. The flashing in the upper left side of the dash display was not there before, and now the radio flashes too. The dash flashing was there long time ago, but it went away becauseI must have done some with the key in the ignition. Now, I mush have done something while I was inside the car at night so the flashings came back. The flashings bother me when I am inside the car waiting for the righ moment for dark sky photography. The flashings are very annoying. If I am unable to luckly overcome the issue, I will probably cover the flashings with black electrical tape. Thanks for your confirmation that this is normal.

Here is what I found googling, but I have not tried it out to disable the immobilizer. I really don't need all the fashing warnings in my life.

Q: Is it possible to disable immobilizer?
Of course, yes. You can disable the immobilizer in a vehicle. In fact, there are several ways to pull through it. You can either do this by inserting the key into the ignition and switching it to the ‘ON” and ‘OFF’ positions. After that, completely remove the key and re-inserting it to start the vehicle. You can also pull through by unlocking and locking the car doors using the physical keys.
