Hello, I have a 2015 EX. (Keyless entry). It used to beep when I double pressed the lock button on my keyfob to tell me that all the doors were locked. It no longer does. I pressed the keyfob lock to lock all the doors, left the fob about 20 feet away and tried all 4 doors and the hatch and they were all locked. My other fob is not in the car, although that wouldn't allow me to lock the doors anyway. It also does not beep when I press the black buttons on the door handle or tail gate to lock all the doors. Am I overlooking something really simple or does something need to be repaired? Thanks.

 

I know if you click the fob only once, it will lock but won't beep; the beep comes only when you double-click. If you're double-clicking and the doors are locking but there's no beep, something is definitely wrong.

 

Okay, since I never use my key fob, I never noticed that before. I just went to test it and sure enough, there is no sound when locking or unlocking the doors. The only time I get a "beep" is when I press the lock button when the car is already locked (your double-press situation). I agree with bach, if you're not getting a beep after a "double-press", something is wrong.

 

Is your hood shut all the way? Looking at the manual it states that the double beep is the security system setting. Perhaps something is interfering setting with the security system.

From the manual:

Press the lock button twice (within five seconds after the first
push): A beeper sounds and verifies the security system is set.



The security system alarm automatically sets when the following conditions have been met:

• The ignition switch is in LOCK (0*1, and the key has been removed from the ignition switch.
• The hood is closed.
• All doors and the tailgate are locked from outside with the key, remotetransmitter, or smart entry system.
