My car has been having some moisture but didn't find the issue till I hit a pot hole and needed to change out my tire. Wheel well had enough water collected to fill up a large fluffy towel. I've searched online and found older generations having issues with welding cracks but I don't see anything with this model. Anyone have this issue as well and resolved it? I will hopefully get to troubleshooting in the next few days with spraying water into the seals and see if anything comes through.
Update september 17th 2024- the picture below is not my car but I ended up using butyl sealant tape along any overlaps metal sheets along the wheel well area, i'm assuming this clay colored sealant is breaking down and allowing for water to seep into my car.I have added many layers of butyle sealant tape on the areas circled in red and competed it along the entire back side of the car as this is where I was seeing a slow drip happening. After a little rain here I have not seen any water accumulate. Hope this holds up for the winter and i'll update if I have any failures. I also checked sun roof drains which were clear and also for welding cracks as I've read some folks with 2017 have found these cracks, no cracks found on my car.
Over all disappointment in this car as I though hondas were suppose to hold out. Only had this car for 9 years and dealing with this leak, push start failure and now the digital display for gas is getting glitchy.

I found a bunch of water in my spare tire well on the day after brought it home from the dealership. No obvious cause. I concluded that a dealership employee using a high pressure washer to clean the car off before it was turned over to me had put the nozzle of a high power washer too close to the trunk lid gaskets and blown water through them and into the trunk where it settled down into the well. Or maybe the trunk lid just wasn't closed fully. Anyway I was glad that I had caught it because left as is in time would have caused a rusting problem. Six years since problem has never re-occurred.
Since then I never allow a dealership to give me a "complimentary wash" at the end of any servicing. (and while we're at it I don't allow them to top up my windshield washer tank with their cheap fluid or perform any other complimentary nonsense on my car).
All Honda taillight (foam) seals are well know for drying out and slightly shrinking over time. Then leaking into the trunk pan afterwords. Normal for these cars that are getting up there in miles or age. I have dealt with this major problem for years working at a local Honda repair shop.
My 2018 Sport taillights have some moisture building up in them already, which means my seals are already on their way out. Time to replace them.

These Fit's do NOT have issues with "welding cracks". Not sure where you read that nonsense.
