2019 Steering Click/Clunk on the left.
Hey everyone, I have a 2019 LX GK5 with an interesting problem. I'm wondering if anyone might have a solution.
Whenever I am parked on a level surface (my garage) and I turn the wheel slightly to the left as I exit the garage, I can hear a slight click / pop / clunk.
Keep in mind I do not hear this sound at any other times while driving, only when I'm turning to the left pulling out of the garage.
This can happen when the vehicle is cold started or already warm and driven. It can happen on a hot day or a cold one. It happens every time without fail.
Diagnosis attempt:
When I put my hand on the tie rod and had someone turn the wheel, I could feel the clunk / vibration directly on the tie rod.
What I have done so far is replace the inner and outer tie rod of the drivers side where I could feel the vibration.
This has not yielded any success as the issue is still occurring albeit less often now.
Instead of being repeatable over and over, I will only get one pop or clunk now when I turn to the left about 15 degrees on the wheel.
Other notes:
I have a 2020 HR-V which has the EXACT same issue. Clunk to the left at 15 degrees.
I have read about some Hondas having an issue with the steering shaft bearings causing a clunk or click, however, this sound is clearly outside of the vehicle and not in the cabin.
I am thinking about replacing the bushing on the steering rack to see if that will fix it.
Any ideas what's going on here?

Thanks for the input, Chitown. I suppose that is possible as there is obviously something causing the issue.
With the car in the air I performed the 9-3 o'clock and 12-6 o'clock test to see if there is play in the wheel. Nothing detected.
As far as the CV axle goes, with the steering at left or right lock there is no clicking or clunking sounds either.
The car only has 16,000 miles. The problem is very subtle and does not affect drive-ability at this point.
If it is a CV axle or wheel bearing I will have to keep driving until the symptoms present themselves in a more obvious way.
What I find most curious is that my HR-V has the same issue, which makes me believe is is some sort of manufacturing or part defect.
