2017 Fit Flashing Lights Dead Battery
2017 Fit Flashing Lights Dead Battery
Daughter has a 2017 honda fit ex 6mt. Recently it killed a battery after 3 years, she had the battery replaced, and then it. would do random flashing lights while parked in the driveway. She took it to the dealer (I'm 2000 miles away), and had the start button recall done on it which temporarily fixed the issue. Fast forward a month and the car has a dead battery again, charge the battery and random times the lights flash like you're hitting the keyfob. I suspect the car isn't shutting down but I'm not there to look at it. She takes it back to the dealer, this time they tell her the dash harness is bad and they can make it flash the lights when wiggling the harness. At this point I'm like no the harness is probably fine, it's a plug/header on something the harness is plugged into. Fast forward, there's nothing I can do, car is apart, I call the independent honda shop in the area and they don't mess with wiring issues. So she pays for the harness replacement, this is 2 weeks ago. She was leaving on a trip and day before the trip it starts doing the random light flashes again. So money wasted at the dealer, even with it heavily discounted. I have a feeling there is no one in the area (Des Moines, Iowa) that has a clue on fixing this. I suspect a module, but am not there to troubleshoot. I'm wondering if it's a common problem like with the old main power relays that would crack the solder joint for the plug? I'm not sure if I should have her go back to the dealer because they're just opening the parts cannon at her expense. Anyway, has anyone seen anything like this?
