Hello friends! For context:

I've been having the ubiquitous splashguard issues for months. Decided to finally just take them off (plan on putting them back on when I get the clips), so I did that. Later that day, on a longer drive, I start hearing this strange ticking coming from the dashboard. Here is a video of it.


It kind of sounds like a similar cadence to old school drum and bass music lol. I have a manual 2018 Fit, and it continues to make the sound even when I am not pressing the gas, and regardless of which gear I am in. Haven't tried in neutral, but assume it continues then. It also gets faster the faster I drive, and mostly stops at slower speeds. It becomes continuous around 45-55 and beyond. Slower than that, it comes and goes.

Gonna have a friend who has mechanical experience look at it, but figured I would post in case it's a really common issue that someone could immediately diagnose or has experienced, at least so I can suggest it to him.
