USB Connection Problem
Since I bought my 2018 Fit EX-L the USB connection to various iPhones has been unreliable. It only establishes a connection about half the time. And even after it connects it spontaneously drops the Carplay connection. I use that connection primarily for navigation with Apple Maps so this is a safety issue.
Both the dealer and Honda stated that there is no way to update the Honda firmware. I find it disappointing that Honda would not provide a way to update that interface!
Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

Thanks but unfortunately it's definitely not the USB cable or iPhone
As I mentioned this error occurs spontaneously even with no cable plugged into the Honda USB port.
Furthermore since I first got the 2018 EX-L years ago the USB connection has been unreliable even with a variety of Lightning and USB C cables over iPhones ranging from the X to my current 15.
I find it hard to believe that Honda would design that system and not have it be upgradable but both the dealership and Honda stated that was the case.

The GK car was discontinued in North America 4 years ago. There is no reason for Honda - or any car maker - to spend any money on something that's obsolete.
