Sunvisors
Sunvisors
My friend and my son have a 2020 Fit. I have a 2015. My sunvisors leave unprotected area because they're too short. The visors on the 2020 can slide to cover that spot. I thought the simlepest thing for me to do would be to buy a pair of 2020 sunvisors. Then I got to thinking about the price. I guessed a pair of those visors would cost $100. Ridiculous, right? Yes, that was a ridiculous assumption. Take a guess at how much the visor for just the driver's side costs - on sale. This visor doesn't move up and down and side to side automatically. It doesn't remind me to keep my hands on the wheel or to keep the windshield clean. It's piece of padded cardboard with a small mirror.

By the way, "sunvisor" is one of those annoying words that can be one work or two.

Yes yes, but it's "on sale" - look at how much you can save over MSRP !
Yes it's ridiculous. You might look at the salvage yard market and eBay but of course these places will probably set their price based on what they see as Honda's new price. And maybe there are some third party independent designs available.

EDITED: I just checked the visor on my son's 2020. Yes, it does slide about 2", but it is VERY hard to move it. Maybe that's because it's 7° outside.

I did the same, laughed at the idea of paying that price, did a quick check of ebay (where I got the rear headrests that mysteriously failed to appear with the car on the dealer's lot), found nothing, and settled for a third-party visor (I think my wife got it on Amazon).
It has a little extension that slides out to cover the spot over the mirror and a tinted sheet of plastic that slides down from the visor to cover more of the windshield. For however few Hamiltons this one cost, it gets the job done.

I'll run the tint all across the top and also on the top of the front side windows. I find it amazing that the sun almost always finds a way to shine right in my eyes, despite the sun visor being down.
A friend told me that he wears a cap will a large bill swung sideways to keep the side window sun out of his eyes. I'll have to try that.
I suspect there have been a lot of visor replacements. Ours (2020 EX) no longer holds itself against the headliner when stowed - it hangs down about an inch, flopping around. Being 6'2", I wonder if it will become a sunvisor-sword to my forehead in an accident.
Honda is probably out (or very nearly so) and trying to avoid doing another production run, thus the absurd price. That, or they have an automated price-gouging system on unexpectedly popular parts.

"I'm gonna need a bigger dash cam." 😂

My 2004 4 runner had 2 sun visors. The normal big one that can flip down it to the side, plus had a part that extended out. When it's flipped to the side, there is a smaller yet still functional one that drops down to cover the front. I was amazed the first time I saw it and yelled "brilliant!"
Thanks for that. I'll take a look.
They seem to be keeping that a secret.

Four Dollars.
Oh, sure. Just $1.00, but each car has two sun visors, and we have two Fits. By the time I've bought enough for both cars, I'm up to $4.00 already! 🤣
