3rd gen (GK) vs 1st gen (GD) reliability
3rd gen (GK) vs 1st gen (GD) reliability
Hello,
I recently had my beloved GD totalled and I’m considering a used 2015 GK. Are there some things to look out for as far as reliability? My Gd was very reliable and easy to maintain but I’m liking the prospect of having a more modern car with heated seats and a backup camera.
thanks.

I don't know why people keep wanting to buy the 2015. It was the first year of a complete redesign (something you should never buy) with a lot of new technology and is probably the worst quality Fit in the last 15 years. A lot of fixes were done by 2016 but even that year is still not great. I guess the 2015 looks so attractive because it's probably pretty cheap now.

I'm an anecdotal survey of one, but my early 2015 EX has been perfect. 90k miles and driven to 41 states.
I note the above link shows uncomfortable sears as far and away the biggest complaints. We love the seats. It seems a love it or hate it thing.
There's no question that the early cars had trouble. Honda went so far as to extend the warranty on the starter button and the fuel injectors, and both issues show up here. I just don't think the issues are as extensive as related.
