I woke up this morning to my car missfiring. I changed the injectors the day before and it ran good still a little rough at idle is why i changed them. Looking for any tips or any one who has been tracking down these issues. I used chat gpt and my friend says maybe i should do valve adjsutment. And im thinking i need a new cat. Just let me know what you think. Thank you. Ive been having issues with this car since december. Ive replaced coils and spark plugs with ngk. And did oem injectors. J rail as well.
They are OeM remanufactured. I thought It was having the recall issue so i order the injectors and j fuel rail. Im just going to reinstall the one from cylinder 2 to see if that does anything.
With the scan tool map sensors was reading 14psi while off.
Swapped differnt coil with ngk and plugs. Then swapped the back to the oem coil and it was still cylinder 2. Could be electrical wire is shorted in the wireharness leading to cylinder 2. Not sure.
Currently battery is dead. So Im charging my starter so i can reset the codes and hunt it down.
Swapped the new injector in cylinder 2 with an old one and its working not throwing any CELs. We also swapped number 3 because it did previously throw a code. So 2 new 2 old and we are so far golden. Also a new battery because i needed it. Interstate recondition for 50.
CEL Came back for cylinder miss fire in 3. Going to swap the injector after work inba parking lot now im pretty good at doing this and it doesnt take a long time. I just need to buy a short #19 wrench for the j rail. Fingers crossed.
FWIW - don't ever buy remanufactured. The reman units on every single vehicle (always customer supplied) have been steadily getting worse. This year has been atrocious. In fact every single re-manned unit that a customer supplied this year (I won't ever supply) has given issue. Last re-manned starter - less than 130 miles. Last re-manned alternator I bought some years back - field regulator went out just about at the 6 month mark. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
Some electronic parts on say a Japanese or American car (barring Ford) you can get away with an IAT sensor, ignition coil or maybe even a cam pos. sensor, but everything else, O2, injectors coils, MAF sensors, FRP sensors, don't bother with anything but quality - new. Always a problem. Good luck.

at the tail end of COVID, my mechanic told me he was seeing around 5% failure rate on parts, which is insane (1 / 20 parts DOA). So he said that he was even getting dud OEM Honda parts. Now we that the supply chain is back to normal, hopefully quality will get better and back to normal.
can OEM injectors not get cleaned? I’ve seen people use a contraption to use the nozzle of a can of cleaner and a car battery to fire cleaner through injectors. Seems legit as long as you only pulse it not to burn out the injector actuator. Never tried it myself.

It sounds like you should have done the valve adjustment vs injectors.
The valves almost never throw a code, but I'd swap back to the original injectors and clean the MAP sensor if you haven't yet.

Honda says NO. They changed the design of the Fit injectors in 2016 which implies it's not just a simple dirt problem which can be fixed with some cleaner. (And incidentally, if you're buying used/remanufactured injectors are you getting the earlier 2015 one or the later 2016 redesigned version?).
