im currently looking at buying a 2015 Fit but I noticed from pictures that it does not have push button start. Is this a modification? Did any base model Fits in Canada come without push button start?
Off the top of my head there were 4 models in Canada: DX, LX, EX, and EX-L. The bottom end DX and LX had key start and I believe the upper EX and EX-L models had push button. Key start is much much better.
3rd gen in the US had key start on the LX models. All the EXs got the pushbutton.
Maybe just as well. The key start wasn't as problematic as the pushbutton.

thanks for the answers! Care to expand on why key start is better?
The car I’m looking at comes with a key and a separate fob. This is a bit strange to me coming from a GD3 since I had a key w/ included fob. What is the original key like on the GK?
If you do search in this forum, you'll find out that pushbutton start is one of the most regularly failing systems in GK Fit/Jazz. Key start is many times more reliable.
But separate fob sounds like an aftermarket solution.
Original GK key should look like the huge one on the left in this picture.
The owner has obviously lost both of the original keys which is not a good sign. You can get an original key made/programmed at Honda but it will probably cost a few hundred.
And TnTkr is right. The push buttons are very problematic because the solder connections on one side of the internal circuit board in the car dash break and cause intermittent start and eventually no start. If that happens you can take the board out and re-solder the defective electrical connections to fix it or take it in to Honda and get the board replaced ($$). No such problem on key start cars.
Thanks again to everyone for the helpful replies. I had a chance to recheck some pics and it seems the previous owner had remote start installed. So it may have an OEM key + remote starter.
i will remove the remote starter from the key loop (and put it in my pocket) as I never dangle other keys from my ignition. I’ve seen this wear out the barrel.
im looking at a 2015 with 100k miles in white. Apparently the white paint is bad but the paint looks good on the one I’ve found.
The white paint they used was either too thin a coat or too low in quality because if the car sat in the sun for long periods of time day after day the UV would go through the top coat and get to the primer and destroy it. With the primer damaged the top white coat would start to peel off. If the car was stored in a garage or somehow out of the sun that wouldn't have been a problem. Only a problem with white. Other car makers have had the same problem.

I agree. I have the basic LX with CVT. Key starts. No problem at all with 156K miles on the ODO.
