Once they have your money what incentive do they have to make cars already sold compatable with new technologies? They'd rather have you buy next year's model to hook up your latest pocket widget.

This business of hoping for future compatibility updates is a fool's game. If it doesn't work out of the box don't count on them to make it work later on.
No Android in the box, Android now in the box. Car play is another one that will probably be supported down the line, if I had to guess. If it comes down to the op liking tech, get that with the best of what the fit has to offer too. This will be my third fit. Nothing but a loaded one at this point. The lack of dials is the latest talking point, but I don't see that swaying change overall. People gripe about anything new and then they get used to it and then they favor it. Many gripe having never actually tried it. Many are swayed by a few others gripes and avoid it. Don't get your mind set on something because of a perpetuation about dials or lack thereof. Try for yourself. Besides, could the dials on the lx be any bigger? Too big, imo.
