After waiting for over 6 weeks for our Fit, it's finally home.

Thanks everyone!

Compared to the 5 speed in our old GD, this 6 speed is light years better. Smooth shifting with nice crisp entry into each gate. My only complaint is the ratio of 6th gear, it seems too close to the ratio of 5th.

Clutch pedal is also lighter than the GD. That took some getting used to, but the clutch engagement is much more linear than the old unit.

The wife loves this car!

It definitely is. I usually go straight from 3rd or 4th to 6th, especially if I'm in a 35-45 MPH zone. The quicker you get to 6th the quicker you can really reap the MPG savings that those speeds.

Thanks! Good to know. How noisy is it at highway speeds? I was told is quite noisy, and that the engine noise is prevalent beyond 60 MPH.

Thanks for the compliments on the photo. I think my phone added a filter though.

As for the noise...on our way to pick up the GK, I tested the decibels (phone app) at 55mph in the GD and GK (during the rest drive). GD registered a 72 db and the GK a 64 db. Not much difference but noticeable. The salesman thought I was nuts, lol.

That is actually a significant difference! Every increase of 3 decibels equates to twice the energy.

I find my EX very quiet. Now this is coming from driving a V8 mustang with a cat-back, so take it with a grain of salt, but I have never found noise ingress to be offensive at any speed.

Congratulations here as well. Love our PBP. I will warn you that like black or any other dark color, it really shows dust and swirls. Baby the paint. I got a California Car Duster and never touch it with a dry cloth, even microfiber.
