Aftermarket armrest/center console?

Does anybody know where to get an aftermarket armrest or center console or whatever that thing is called? The stock one is way too low, and I want something I can really lean on.

I haven't located any - but ended up making my own.... A piece of thin plywood or similar for the base, 4" of foam from Walmart, some black cloth from walmart, and a good staple gun along with some 1" black elastic bands to hold it in place over the existing armrest works pretty well... you can also make it any height you want from 1-4 inches by just adjusting the amount of foam you use. I made mine about 16 inches long and 6 inches wide.... Just typical stuff you can pick up at Walmart for < $20....

anyone notice that they made the armrest have that little corner cut off for no reason? They could have easily made it square and just hang over the parking brake. When pulled the parking brake it wouldnt even come close to the armrest. I have been throwing around a spacer idea in my head to raise the stock armrest a few inches, but I'll probably never get around to it.

I got arm rest mods from amazon. I think they were called elbow friend. Works fabulous. Doesn't retain body heat either.

What's funny about that cutoff is that it's supposed to be on the other side, giving the driver the extended part. That's how it is in the RHD Fit, they just never bothered to reverse it for LHD Fits.

You can get center-console armrests in black color and 2 size options at Floor Mats, Car Covers, Cushions, and Parking Aids from Driving Comfort.. Amazon also has them in charcoal grey (less expensive than driving comfort). These attach with a strap that goes around the center console cover.

You can also get "elbow friend" on amazon which attach with velcro strips. I used these for the the plastic door arm rest.

Could you tell how you attached the plywood to the existing setup? Also a picture from the open position would be great. Thanks.
