No, I'm talking about the Curt roof basket extension (18117 I believe). The Short Roof Extension is supposed to be for 2-door cars like the Civic coupe to use the Thule roof racks. But I plan on being very careful of the length. I plan on leaving it as far forward as I can.

Ah, it makes sense now. I just googled the basket and extension. I've installed a few Thule racks on two-doors with the 477 so I'm familiar with it. I thought you were trying to use it to push the rear bar back and I was confused.

Oh gotcha. If anything I'd wanna push it a little forward for using the basket. The short roof extension would make sense for that, but I think it's at the perfect spread point for when I haul my kayak to keep it stable.

Wowzas....

Holy crap it's been a long time. I'll keep the explaining short and get to the good stuff (pics) soon.

Current use: Lyft/Uber vehicle (no more pizza delivery)
Current mileage: 103k!
Repairs: Fuel injectors replaced about 75k, replaced a tire at 100k service (may need an alignment soon)
Maintenance: Brake pads and rotor resurfacing about 95k, oil changes as needed per maintenance minder, 100k service (new spark plugs and valve adjustment)

Upgrades:
-WeatherTech rear floorliner
-Winter tires: 185/70r14 Michelin X-Ice tires on steelies
-Summer tires: 205/45zr17 Hankook Evo2 tires on Verde Protocol rims
-LED turn signals: in process of installing resistors
-Cadillac 4-note horns: in progress
-3000k HID fog lights: in progress
-Projector retrofit with 5000k HID headlights: planned for next trip to SD
-Turbo upgrade project: abandoned

Gripes: plastic clips to remove front bumper have softened over time, making them difficult as f*** to remove properly. Also had check engine light on briefly for catalytic converter performance, so may have issues down the road with that.

Pics will be uploaded soon....
