Thumbs up Who's Getting the Best Per Trip Mileage?

Okay, so there's a thread on who's getting the worst mileage, but this morning, I broke 50 MPG driving into my downtown office (mostly 55 mph rural and 70 mph interstate). This was an anomaly, by they way – I'm averaging a touch over 40 mpg by the on-board computer (I reset with each fillup).

So let's see your "Best Per Trip Mileage!"

Averaged 43.9mpg over 100 miles in my EX. Cruise control set @ 70mph. Moderate A/C use.

I am getting 9.0L/100Kms. But then I leave my auto in 3rd and enjoy the drive.

I had one trip @ 50.2 mpg, although I'm usually in the 30s.

The highest current drive I got was 52 but that was 90% freeway.

Using fuelly my best tank was 38 mpg for 60/40 freeway/city which is a better combined then what my EX claims to do so Im happy.

I easily get better mileage in town than on the highway because of the short gearing. Sucks for long trips. Why can I get 45-50 headed to the gym but only 35-40 headed to another state? Ha

My best MPG was 62mpg, i was hypermiling behind a semi-truck from Lansing MI, to Port Huron Mi using slightly less than 2 gal of fuel. My speeds ranged from 60mph-68mph.
Check my Fuelly.

Speed limit on the interstate here is 80 and the other main highway I take is a 70. I just do the speed limit these days. I used to go under to get better gas mileage but haven't done that in years. At 84mph I'm at about 4k rpms and average about 38-39 mpg on my last trip. Not bad, but in town I can get 50+

I'm doing a 300-mile trip this week (college drop-off, my favorite time of year) and I'm looking forward to it. I'm thinking I'll do 70 mph-plus on the way out and maybe 55 mph on the return leg to see just how well I can do. I'm thinking I can get 40 mpg-plus on the leg out and at least 55 mpg on the return depending on wind. We'll see.

Dang, man. I need to hypermile more. I'll do it a few trips but then whip around for fun on another. Ha

Is that mostly in town or highway? Other than the usual braking in gear, etc. Are there any techniques you've found the Fit to respond well to?

I'm a quarter into my second tank but my goal is to never ever be under 40...

I'm approx 50/50 hwy/city streets. My hypermiling was driving my wife nuts, so halfway through this last tank, I scaled way back. I no longer neutral coast or shut the engine down at all stoplights. I also increased my freeway speed and even use the a/c now. I'm hoping to still get high 40's and maybe close to 50, but I think my avid hypermiling days are over.
