Radio reception?

I've noticed that the radio reception on my new Fit is not as good as what I had previously with my Camry. It's not terrible, but I am finding more dead spots. Anyone else experiencing this? Suggestions for fix/upgrade? Thanks FF community!

I did notice the same. I don't listen to the radio, so it us not an issue for me but I did notice that reception was not as clear. I did switch out the original antennae for the shark fin and it actually got worse.

Thanks fbones24. I certainly won't put in the shark fin.

This seems like a YMMV sort of thing. Others have reported better reception with the shark fin. I only listen to AM and have noticed no change in reception with AM.

AM receivers usually use a ferrite bar/rod antenna. A 1/4 wave whip for 98 MHz (middle of 88-108 MHz) would be something like 2' 4-5/8". Don't know if there are any tuning components in the antenna base that would cause problems with replacing the rubber ducky with that whip.
