This is going way over board for a car, like given it a name. My take on this, others can disagree. But if you do, please seek help immediately.
Boats, ships, space shuttles, lunar landers, planes... many of those are given names too. I don't see what's so weird about it.

Now kissing it. That's another thing altogether.

My white EX (manual of course) was immediately named Olaf by my daughters. I'm okay with it.

I've got the Aegean Blue so mine is the Blu-J of Happiness; Blu-J for short (with apologies to J-Lo and the others using these silly abbreviated names back in the 90s).

You know that fitta is a vulgar word for female genitalia in one of the European languages, hence Honda called it Jazz, instead of Fit in Europe.

"Herbie"

"Eleanor"

"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"

"Lightning McQueen"

etc. …

Last I checked, though, Honda will still let you buy one even if you don't want to name it. Actually, it already *has* a name: "Fit."

Love it. My 4 and two year old (and self) love My neighbor Totoro. We've got nearly there entire Miyazaki series. Spirited away is there girls favorite. Wife grew up in Japan (Niigata/Tsubame pre) watching his movies.
