My last car was a mazdaspeed3 which was Speedy Gonzales.
This car is appropriately named Slow Poke Rodriguez.

Last I checked, though, Honda will still let you buy one even if you don't want to name it. Actually, it already *has* a name: "Fit."

A Fit is not a hopped up Mustang GT, or an fantasy movie car.

We have named our '13 Vortex Blue Sport "Boba Fit." :-) We just need to order the 3D plastic letters to put above the stock "FIT" tag.

Our silver Fit is named Platero, after the little burro in Jimenez' Platero y Yo. Previous '67 Volvo was named Rocinante, after Don Quijote's horse.

I'm still waiting for someone with a black, white, or silver Honda Fit install an R2-D2 dome on the roof of their car with the x-wing decals along the doors! :-)

Kinda like this!

We named our 2015 red EX "Tardis" because it is truly weird how much bigger it seems on the inside than it looks on the outside. It doesn't make that noise, however, but I imagine it does.

When I took a test drive I was rewarded with thinking I was on the USS Enterprise when I got back to the lot, left the headlights on got out of the car. It seems they've found a new "chime" to remind you the lights are on and it's very similar to the Enterprise's klaxon.

It is possible to rig a simple device to the signal wire of the chime and have it play the klaxon, though it will not play through the stereo. A small speaker attached to the device should do nicely. I've seen this done on pinball machines with outdated sound boards and adding new sounds is done in this exact fashion when a switch closes to score or trigger the sound.

My mother talked me into naming my EX CVT 'Rudy' after my grandfather. Family legend has it that he was the first in GA to sell imported cars. I've never named a vehicle before so it does feel a little odd. I've modified it to 'Red Rudy.'

My 2010 Silver one was the silver bullet.

My 2015 is black. My ten year old and I decided on Black Betty, and everytime I yell out bam-a-lam next, and then we laugh at Daddy being a goof.

We pack in an underground garage, and every once in a while, one of us will refer to going to the bat cave and taking the bat mobile for a ride.

LeapingTurtle - because when the eco button is on it is a turtle and when it's off it is a nice responsive 'leaping' car. Also, the vaguely tribal name is a nod to its Mexico birth.

My 2010 FIT was Bean.. it was shaped like a jelly bean to me. Plus, in the blue it kinda looked like a big jelly bean.

My white 2015 has not told me it's name yet - I thought I might have heard it say "Pepe" once recently, though....it is Mexican.

We named ours "Slim", or depending on our mood, "Slim Fit"

My family and I have always named our cars. My secondary car, a Daihatsu Charade is named "Yoshi" because he's very Japanese, and my husband's Aveo is just known as "Abby". We all have an emotional bond with cars (isn't that why we are on this site?), so why not name them?
