Have You Named Your Fit?

Say what you like, but figure it would be fun thread.

I've owned all three generations of Fits.

My 2008 name was lame...Kitt the Fit.

My 2011 name was Daphne...poor gal and I wound up mounting a curb wedged between two boulders sliding down a hill during a winter snow storm, yet I named her Daphne before this happened. I had no idea she was danger prone like Daphne from Scooby Doo

My 2015 Fit name is Chloe. My close lady friend had some input. Think Chloe Sullivan, the character from Smallville. That chick is hot! Oh yeah my lady friend is pretty effing amazing too.

Your turn!

My 2015 Mystic Yellow Pearl EX-L/Navi is Punky. It's in reference to Punky Brewster. No particular reason other than it's a quirky colorful car.

I tend to name my cars after movies and TV stuff. My BMW was Lulu after Louise Brooks. (20s black and white silent movie star. The car is white with black interior.) My Crown Vic ex-police B&W was The Biscuit. Hubby and I would dress up as Jake & Elwood and drive around. We're just big dorks.

No because anthropromorphizing inanimate objects is one more step towards insanity that I dont need to take.

Just saying.

At one time or another, we've given the vehicles names, but like Black3sr, we refer to them as "the truck," "the car," "the bike," and "the boat." The PBP Fit's name is "Deep Purple."

Not really, although my license plate does read "Eeyore," which was what I had named my former '13 Beetle convertible, and I just transferred the plates to save a little cash (long since blown on Fit accessories!).

I've always named my VWs, but never any of my other cars. Eeyore was originally the name of the '64 Beetle (stock 40 hp) I drove in Atlanta, GA traffic for six years. The New Beetle that replaced Eeyore was named (and decaled like) Herbie (kept that one almost 13 years). I had a '71 VW van before the '64, which was painted like a WWII bomber and named "The Mayfield Belle."

My SSM 09 has the nickname "Coro" which I don't mention to many since it is an obscure reference to an anime Akame ga Kill....not the singer!

but fitting giving how much stuff the Fit packs it and it's initial appearance hiding it's potential...

I just call mine The Fit. There's a lot of power in it. My friend has a Jeep Patriot that we always called The Riot. Now The Riot and The Fit go on raids together. I picture two large Viking-types.

Fit: a sudden uncontrollable outbreak of intense emotion, laughter, coughing, or other action or activity.

Eeyore is my favorite Pooh character. Now that is original for a car that's for sure!

I had an 08 Ranger before my fit, I called her Ruby, as she was a red colour.

This thread further proves to me that I don't need a car to enhance my masculinity....

Its not about enhancing anything, its about having pride in a nice looking vehicle. To some a car is just a car, a mode of transportation. Don't matter if its shiny, for all those people care about it could have panels rusting out and a million bird shits on the roof/hood....long as it drives A to B its reliable.

I parked my vehicle at the Plubix shopping lot, noticed a guy looking at his vehicle (Unknown model-happened sometime ago). He than walked towards the store a few feet, turned around, and went back to his vehicle again, and just looked at it for a moment or two, than walked towards the store again, stopped and returned to his vehicle, leaned over to the front hood, and gave it a kiss of all things, than went into the store. This is going way over board for a car, like given it a name. My take on this, others can disagree. But if you do, please seek help immediately.
