Does anyone have any idea why the driver's seat belt latch is different from the rest? The passenger belts are all the same, but this thing is big enough that when I first got my EX I kept accidentally pushing the top of it to unbuckle myself thinking it was the release lol. My ge8 wasn't like this so I was curious. I read the owners manual and googled it everyday I could think of but no such luck finding an answer.

 

I just looked at the front seat belt release buttons on my LX. The driver and passenger side look the same to me. Bill #22335

 

My EX-L got that bigger latch too than rest of the seat belts. Only thing I can think of easier to grab the belt when putting it on? Or protection for your right arm?

 

I think you're talking about the buckle (part with the release button), look at the metal part attached to your seatbelt (latch). I'm curious now if it's just an ex/ex-l thing now that you said it looks the same...

 

Thanks for calling me out. You are right, I now looked at the latch part and the driver side is thicker. Maybe to make it easier to grab with gloves on?
