I received a 2016 Owner's Guide and a CD, but did not receive a printed copy of the User Manual. These are two different books. The Owner's Guide is 143 pages long. The User Manual is 453 pages long!

Do you have automatic door locking on your EX? Do you have the outside temperature near your fuel gauge?

You should have received the actual manual. That's so odd they didn't give it to you.

Yes, my doors lock automatically and yes, I have the outside temperature on the same display as the fuel gauge. I find the outside temperature to be fairly accurate (my Dad tested this when he stole my car).

I'll try to change the door lock settings. But thanks for the tip and info.
Mine does;t lock at any speed and i can not lock them from indies either. Sometimes I need to put something in the trunk and I need to turn off the car just to open the trunk or the rear passenger door.

Does anyone knows a way to work this out. It has been a big turn off with not with this features but with maintaince minder(that the internet and the sell guy says it has it), no vsa, no hill assist, just two air bags, no recalls from honda(ever), bad front bumper in case of coalition, services every 3 and 6 miles if you dont do it you will lose your guarantee and they are expensive as hell.

but other than that the car is pretty good.

I affirm that the Canadian base model does not have automatic door lock settings. I actually would not want it anyway.

I have a hard copy of the manual, it was in the glove compartment at delivery. I also downloaded a soft copy since it's easier to search.

I have a 2015 Fit EX 6 speed manual and it has the exterior temp is on the bottom of the trip meter section above the digital fuel gauge (information display ... right hand dial).

I checked the PDF version of the Owners' Manual on this computer instead of relying on my memory. There may be a way to put it on the 7 inch display that comes with the EX level. It's hard to tell from the manual.

KikeDiaz , you need to pay attention to your typing, some of your typos are misleading. I used to interpret my elderly grandmother's very bad handwriting for the rest of the family.

I have found a place to put my collapsible umbrella. There's a little niche by the driver's seat between the seat and the door, it works and frees the door pocket of one item.

BTW, I don't need a place to hide my firearms. I only have one and I wear it on my hip (mostly under a shirt or jacket). I have a relatively easy to obtain Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit.

You're getting it wrong: the ability to shut it off is the feature.

As I said, "maybe." Page 105 and 106 of the manual give directions for changing the settings. It's worth a try.

That's where I put my umbrella too.

KikeDiaz is in Mexico so more than likely English is not his first language.

That's where I keep my snow brush/ice scraper.

Obviously each country gets different levels of trim and associated equipment.
US ... LX, EX, EX-L
Canada ... DX, LX, EX, EX-L
Different content, the DX being a stripper (ta da tum, ta da tum_ Johnny Mercer)

It appears that we in the US get it and our friends to the north don't. Strange that. I'd think it would be just as important to know when the temperature drops below freezing in Canada as here, but you'd have to ask Honda as to the "why".

There is a way to adjust the outside temperature indicator, pp85 of the owner's manual. This is supposed to adjust +-3C. You could try this and see if anything changes. The manual also says that the temperature sensor is on the front bumper. Is it there on your car?

I don't see any way to change from C to F or back. It seems by default the US gets F and Canada gets C.

If you're in Canada, and it's not July or August, you just assume that freezing temps are a possibility.

Outside Temperature
Shows the outside temperature in Fahrenheit (U.S.) or Celsius (Canada).
■ Adjusting the outside temperature indicator
Adjust the temperature reading up to ± 5°F or ± 3°C if the temperature reading
seems incorrect.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON
(w
.
2. Press and hold the (Select/Reset) knob for 10 seconds or more while the
*1
outside temperature is shown on the information display.
u The information display goes into temperature adjustment mode. The display
starts showing from -5°F to +5°F (U.S.) or -3°C to +3°C (Canada).
3. Release the knob when the right adjustment amount is shown.
u The adjustment is complete.

1Outside Temperature
*
The temperature sensor is in the front bumper.
Road heat and exhaust from another vehicle can
affect the temperature reading when your vehicle
speed is less than 19 mph (30 km/h).
It may take several minutes for the display to be
updated after the temperature reading has stabilized.
When the engine oil life is shown on the information
display, you cannot adjust the outside temperature.
Push the knob to select the other display.

From the 2015 US Fit Manual. The 888 display is generally a sign of malfunction. And it can be set to F or C.
