Where did this comparison chart come from? Was it a Canadian chart, or another country? I have a dx, and no ambient indicator. MT.

The chart is from Honda.ca when you build & price a Fit. I think you should go back to the dealer with this chart and start questioning them about the absence of your temp sensor. I'm not surprised if they did, since they also forgot your heated mirrors and defroster in the first place.

BTW, I happen to live in Vancouver BC as well as ordered an DX. My ETA is the 17th of this month, but I'm extremely skeptical about this date...

UPDATE: Sorry, i can see Trashercan has already posted his query on that thread ... just trying to help.
Looks like you CANADIANS have some nice standard features! BUT .... no outside temp guage .... BUT you have MOLSON no matter what the temperature. Everything is a trade-off.
FYI - We have Molson here, too.

I just phoned the dealership where I bought my dx and the sales person said that NO dx or lx have ambient temp. gauges.

I had to wait about 3 weeks for the dx. They aren't shipping many since the lx was the anticipated best seller. I love it tho - it's a great little car! And as a base model, it's surprising what is standard. When was yours ordered?

I had mine ordered exactly a month ago.

I wonder if we can just buy SENSOR ASSY., AUTO LIGHT SUN BEAM/A/C SENSOR for 2015 Honda FIT (item #2 ambient senor) and make it work?
Assuming Honda has conveniently left the wire and connector for us to plug that in.

You won't find anything there to plug the sensor into so yeah you will need the special wiring harness to make it work.

That's quite a wait!! The dx is NOT the popular trim level, so maybe they're a lower priority? Hope yours comes on the 17th as promised..well worth the wait!

And I don't care that I don't have an ambient temp gauge - really cold temps are not an issue in the south western part of Canada - tons and tons of rain is. We need water level gauges!!

it would be nice if the thermometer were accurate! It's about five degrees off.

Check the owners manual, there is a way to set it...

I wonder if that has something to do with where the sensor is located.

It happens the exact in mexico fit. In the manual it says it has maintenance minder and temperature cause it has none. It is in the breach of 2015 and 2016 and still it has none maybe in none model not sure. But what a fuck that are advertising something that is not there. and there has been advertising it for a long time.

But they have the disclaimer. Not sure if is applicable or just they do to push a buy.

In canada do they also strip all the security? in mexico the only security is has is abs and two air bags, nothing more.

Old thread that just popped up. I have a 2016 Canadian base model, 6MT, and it has a temperature sensor. I've never had a car with a temperature sensor, so not expecting it I was pleasantly surprised. A compass would also have been useful.

They aren't very accurate anyway. If I am sitting in the sun on a hot day it can say 116. I think it must be mounted where the metal makes it show higher readings. The most accurate reading I get is when I am still in the garage.

That 116 is accurate. When you're moving, you'll get an accurate read on the fresh air moving through. When you sit still, the sun bakes it.

I have the 2015 DX Canadian base model as well. Well, no temperature sensor for me

My doors do not lock up by itself when the car reached 15km/h as well...

You live in Canada. Is locking the doors really that important?

That's my car! My doors also do not automatically lock at any speed.

I'm working on a center console and arm rest for our Canadian base model. Will post when I've done more. No arm rest is almost as bad as an arm rest that is too low!

My owner's manual explains how to eliminate that locking feature. Does your mention it? Maybe you can turn it on.

Oh My! I did not even know that there was such an option. My 2016 owner's guide states:

No one from the dealer told me about this site. From there I needed to register and login. Searching around randomly I found an Owner's manual, which I did not know even existed. Bad Honda!?!?! And I'm the type to read the f* manual, always.

I'll try to change the door lock settings. But thanks for the tip and info.

You didn't get a manual/user guide with the car?! That's crazy. My friend just got the same car as you did and he had it handed to him when he accepted delivery. Same when I picked up my car.

Glad you have it now
