Mute button for Audio on Steering Wheel ?

Can someone please confirm that the only way to mute the audio is to hit the volume selector on the touch screen and then hit mute, and then apart from holding down the steering mounted 'down volume' there isn't a hidden mute function is there ?

Thanks in advance.

What model are you driving? My guess is that if you don't see a mute button on the wheel there probably isn't one there. For the EX, possibly the LX (I'm not sure), the "power" button by the upper left corner of the displayi s the mute button for music. I think that was mentioned in NotBlakes review - I've watched a lot of reviews as I get closer to my sale date. But the good news about that is there aren't menus on the screen to have to go through.

He speaks the truth. I always just hit the green power button on the top of the screen. Frustrated that the wheel doesn't have a mute button. It was a go to on my last car. I have an LX for reference.

I can see why it's annoying. I miss will having a dial for volume, I expect it would take forever to quickly drop volume with the touch screen and my days of mashing buttons like rapid fire are behind me. Maybe I need to pick up a controller again.

If you have an EX the green button on the head unit mutes music and pauses the song if it's pausable.

There is no mute on the steering wheel.

Unless I'm mistaken if you hold the volume down button on the wheel for one second it instantly turns the volume to zero. Also I gotta say that I prefer the buttons on the wheel to the dial, I have the LX and never use the dial. Like ever. It's not convenient.

Edit: I'm wrong

Nope, I just went to my car and checked. It will turn the volume to zero eventually, but not a mute.

NotBlake is right. The "mute" is turning the audio off with the green power button on the head unit. Audio stops and restarts pretty darn fast, almost instantly. Would prefer it on the steering wheel of course.

Turning the head unit "off" only affects audio. You can still make calls, change settings, etc.

Love the audio controls on the steering wheel.

And if you think I'm muting my tunes for anyone, you're crazy!
