Agreed.....great question, as they sucked on a rental I had, felt like the key blade was gonna fall outta fob at any time.....the stock Honda key is not all that large, imo, 'tis fine in my pocket
I found this key which looks like it matches the LX Fit key buttons exactly. I can't find one shipped from the US, and $35 is a bit much in the event that it doesn't match.
I found a flip key case on Alibaba that looks it matches the 3rd gen Fit LX key. It's missing the alarm button, but otherwise looks right. Only $5.00 shipped if you buy in with their app. I'll let you know how it works out after it arrives (12-20 days).

The only time I have ever seen an aftermarket flip key in person it was a piece of poorly made garbage and the car would only start when the key was half folded. If you had key completely straight it would disable the car due to the immobilizer not seeing the key.
As with all made in china junk be aware that some things cause more problems than they are worth.
