Underdash noise on start up

Question - when I start my 2015 Fit, there is a noise under the dash that sounds like a a switch or something cycling. I went to start it after work last night, it was 1 degree out, and no start, and no under dash noise until i began the entire start sequence again, that is I shut off the car, the headlights, and began again. It started then. Battery is good. ???

The under dash noise is the keyless drive unlocking the steering wheel electrically. On traditional keyed ignition cars this would happen mechanically when you turn the key to start. Is your car manual trans? Did you forget to depress the clutch pedal?

The CVT Fit doesn't have a steering wheel lock. Only the the MT does.

If you have a CVT, I think the sound you are hearing is the fuel pump. Since the fuel tank is directly under you, its easy to hear it in the Fit.
