wind noise
Again, I'm not arguing that changes to improve noise level couldn't be made. BUT...that's not the Fit most of us originally buy. It is, what it is.
It's very similar to evaluating the sound system. For some people the stock OEM stereo system is going to be good enough. For others? They will find it lacking and are perfectly free to upgrade the system until it matches any sound system you can find on any vehicle.
Again to me it's about what you want, and what you expect.
I never walked up to the Fit, or purchased the Fit expecting quietness to be an attribute.
To me? In OEM form, it's quiet enough...and I'm OK with that.
I like the Fit.
But yeah there are a lot of little things with the Fit that I've wondered why Honda didn't just raise the bar slightly. But these decisions are made in boardrooms and the offices of designers, and accountants and are long, long made by the time I buy it off the lot.
But this thread has also gotten a little off topic.
The OP isn't talking about wishes, desires, or even personal standards. The OP is talking specifically about wind noise from defective or poorly installed window seals.
100 times out of 100, I don't care what vehicle we are talking about,- that shouldn't happen.

Please don't take my comments as a personal attack. Your point about realistic expectations is very cogent and pragmatic.
I love the Fit, but I also love speculating about how to make it better and whether I can accomplish that on my own or if I feel the design could be improved by Honda. Either way I want a better Honda Fit that's more powerful with better economy, that corners more like a rail sled and has a plusher ride, that's bigger on the inside but has an improved turning radius. Oh! And please lower the price.
I get some wind whistle that's now much more noticeable with my much quieter tires, but I am not sure it's the windshield molding. I might try the tape the seems test and see how it sounds.

The only other car that I found in the US was the Mitsu Mirage base model. It's horrible in most every aspect except mpg. It would take $thousands to get it = to the Fit LX base. I test drove a 2018 Mirage base once - it sealed the deal on the Fit.
That's fine...

However, again, that's not my original point, and it's not what this thread was originally about.
Having only had my car for a week, I did notice some wind noise coming from the drivers door, upper back and some from the passenger door area while doing 70mph. Not horrible but noticeable.
Stopped by the dealership and the salesman said it was because they only have a double seal and not a triple, as on the more expensive cars, and there is nothing to be done.
Seems like a cop-out
It's not real bad but noticeable with the radio off. Plan on upgrading the speakers and adding a woofer to help 'not notice it

I tend to fiddle and add stuff to every vehicle I own.
I even put dynamat all over a 1979 Jeep Wagoneer to quiet it down. Lets just say it was not money/time well spent
Trying not to do that with the Fit.....but I do still have some dyna mat
Just install over-the-ear noise protectors at each seat, that fall out of the ceiling when the car goes over 50 mph, 80kph, the way oxygen masks fall out of the ceiling of an airliner when the cabin pressure goes too low.
I could be wrong but it seems to me like the wind noise is really a result of the seals around the windshield not being secured in place properly, either by design, or during assembly. As the car goes above 50 mp, 80 kmh, it sounds to me like there are little spots around the window edges where little tornadoes form. It sounds like the air is trying to get into the cabin, and is going in circles looking for a spot to get through. I tried reaching my hand around the perimeter of the windshield to see if I could feel any air leaks, but I couldn't really do that safely while driving. I could only feel part of the perimeter. Of course with things like this what it sounds like is often not what is actually happening.

It is difficult to figure out where the air is getting in. I read that someone put tape all over until they figured out where it is coming from.
For now I just turn up the radio!
It is still much quieter than my previous ride, a 2000 Subaru legacy and my weekend sled,a 1991 Toyota pick up
