Thinking about XPEL this week
I've read through quite a few posts and how easily the paint chips on the new Fit. Since Ive only had it for a week, I feel like I the sooner I protect the car, the better.
Since this is the first time Ill experience this procedure, is there any etiquette I should be aware of prior to taking my car in? I was thinking maybe I should wash the car prior to taking it in? Any advice would be welcome.
Edit: Also it seem like most of the kits cover just the front - is this enough or should I go overboard and have the entire vehicle covered?

Washing the car wouldn't hurt but the installer should clean any portions of the car you decide to have covered. I have had XPEL installed on a couple of cars (not the Honda) and usually only have the front of the hood and fenders, the front bumper, headlights, foglights, front of side view mirrors, and rocker panels done. If you can afford it, you might want to have the whole hood and fenders done so that you won't see the seam where the EXPEL ends and regular car paint begins (the seam is noticeable at certain angles). Of course if money is really no object then you can have the whole car covered, but most of the damage will occur in the front and rocker panels.
I decided not to do the Honda because I did not want to spent the money on this economy car, and, sure enough, I recently noticed rock chips on the front of the hood. Paint is not great on these new Hondas.
