New to Fit and to the Forum!
Picked up a 2015 Fit EX-L two weeks ago and besides the dealer giving me hassle because I told them I would not buy the car until they removed the pin striping, its been good. I did have to go in once because the driver door was not aligned and was rattling, and I notice that I need to get the driver door pillar fixed as I have seen others do.
One thing has been bothering me though, what are the missing buttons on the drivers side panel? There is only traction control but 2 other slots missing. Its driving me crazy and I cant find pictures of it online XD
Upcoming projects for the car:
Window Tinting
Install my lil' sub for more full sound
Sound dampening
Rear cargo cover
Thule roof rack
Car-wise, its been a rough couple of years for me, I have been through a lot of cars and have not been happy with them thus car. Recently: 2010 Toyota Yaris, 2013 Chevy Spark(chevy is just grabage), 2014 Ford Fiesta (2 clutches in 20k miles). I am hoping that my fit will bring me more happiness.
Pictures of the octopus car
No real significance, I always put some sort of animal or graphic on my car. I like to design graphics in my spare time.

First off, welcome! Sorry to hear about your problems with the fit, but hopefully with those issues resolved now, you'll have a car you love!
Second, I love your car! Not only is it the sexier version of mine (modern steel LX), it's got a super cool octopus graphic! I love that!

Cars are all manufactured on assembly lines, its only logical that something will happen. Its NOTHING compared to all the recalls I had with my Chevy!I am glad you like it! The modern steel is very snazzy!
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the car. That orange and the MSM look great together. Did you draw that piece yourself?
I think the tabs w/ no buttons come like that. Some people have installed switches for different items in those spaces. I think like trailer hitch lights or something...there was a thread around here somewhere. Maybe in the 'What Mods/Accessories...' one.
Thats crazy about your string of bad car trouble. All those were on my runners up list (plus the Nissan Versa) to my Fit that finally won out. Hopefully that ends now.

As for the tabs, I was wondering because I could not find anything on hondas website, but that does make sense!
I look forward to loving my Fit, I have never met anyone who hated theirs
Blanks for buttons
Welcome Octopy. Just last night I installed a red button in one of those blank panels. I opens my garage door. But it could do anything--turn on some lights, release an oil slick to foil bad guys, trigger the ejection seat. My use is kinda boring. I zipped tied my garage door remote to a metal brace under the dash and ran a wire from the circuit board button terminals in the remote to the dash switch. The hard part was getting the blank panel out. It cannot be pried out from the front, not even with a spludger and a lot of spludging. You must stuff your head under the dash while lying on your back (avoid chewing gum while doing this--choking hazard). Light up the back of the panel with a flash light and then use a long dowel or screw driver to push the latch up the holds the panel in place. Releasing just the bottom catch was enough for it to be popped out. Houdini could have done this part in a jiffy, but it took me probably 20 minutes to figure it out.
Think of the panels as possibilities, opportunities, growth options.

I know that one of the "blank" spaces for switches is used for a switch for the blue footwell lights which are sold as an accessory. The others may have some use on Fits made for other markets besides the US.
Welcome! When my wife and I were shopping for our Fit the pin striping was a big issue for us too. The weird thing is they promote it like its a bonus or something. In reality I think pin striping only looks good on old hot rods.
