Accessory Socket questions
Accessory Socket questions
I just got my 2015 Fit LX CVT two weeks ago (yay!), and had a couple questions about the accessory sockets, specifically the one under the radio player:
Are the accessory sockets powered even when the engine is off? Is it safe to have something plugged in all the time?
I recently got a dash cam and have it plugged in the front accessory socket. Everything's working great, except yesterday I noticed that the dash cam's plug had a few sticky white spots (could it have melted?), which made me wonder if the socket was powering the dash cam even when the car was off... Or could it have been from the car just being too hot (we've had a few hot days this week in my city), or something else entirely?
