Freakin' out a little...

Yesterday I installed my Kenwood Powered Sub. No issues yesterday. Sub works great and no indication from car that something was wrong.

This morning... Start car. Starts right up. But CEL is on and the little PRNDS screen is flashing a combination of D and N at the same time. Like both the D and N light up at the same time and then the screen goes blank and then D+N shows up again.

I put it in reverse just to back out of my garage to open the hood and and it backed up just fine. Car seems to operate normally.

Right now, I have the battery unhooked to clear whatever error code is present. I'll go back out in a little bit and try it again to see what that did.

What's wrong with my baby? Do you guys think its safe to drive to get it to the dealer tomorrow if this persists?

 

Nevermind. I found the issue.

I used an add-a-fuse to wire up the remote wire for the sub. The fuse had come loose.

Pushed it back in and all is well again.

Whew!
