I called American Honda and they confirmed my car is affected by the recall so it does appear to be the earliest cars. Of course, my car runs brilliantly, but I'll get the replacement done nonetheless.

My vin came back with no recalls but I have no idea when it was made.

If anyone can tell me how to check Ill gladly post, and I am over 5k with no issues.

It's on a label in the driver's side door frame. Do you know your VIN?

Thanks for the heads up.
We probably have sister cars, mine was also built 12/2014

My series number is in the high 26,000 series (build date 9-14). I entered the VIN on the site, but the site comes back with "no recalls on this vehicle".

My s/n is in the 19K range, and comes up as not affected.

Read the sticker with the VIN carefully. They are required to have month and year on that sticker.

It's on a part of the frame that faces outward... you can't see it from the driver's seat, you have to be outside of the car to see it.

Thank you! Found it. I kept looking on the door and there is another sticker on the frame. It could have bit me.

Mine was manufactures 2/15. Does that mean I won't have the recall?

The VIN (from many places incl. the Roadside Assistance key tag) is in the 764k range (last 6 digits) if that means anything. EX Milano Red 6 speed.

Go to owners.honda.com and enter your VIN. It will tell you if your car is excluded or if a recall visit is required.

I'm going in the 23rd. I'll report back to y'all.

Looks like I have two recalls!

The Ignition coil and M-CVT DRIVE PULLEY SHAFT.... Not entirely sure what that is.

Huh, that's a new one that I haven't even heard of. Looks like it was just added.

Yup I have both recalls for my car as well. I'm getting the engine coils fixed this weekend at my nearby honda service department and just called to inquire about the CVT Pulley. They said at the moment it is a visual inspection and if there are any issues they will fix as needed.

I've since found out that the M-CVT Drive Pulley Shaft recall is a diagnostic inspection and software update. Don't worry, they're not going to be taking apart your transmission.

coil recall

Checked Honda recall site this morning. No recalls for my EX 6 speed manual. My VIN number is in the very low 18000 range. Looks like it may be the early ones. 1 to 17800 range. We will see.
