Hi all. I had all 4 ignition coils replaced and there was a second recall about the CVT. It was about upgrading the software for the CVT, or so they say. Apparently the ignition coils can degrade overtime and stall the engine, so they replaced them, Not sure about the CVT recall. Was it an upgrade or data collection? Not sure. Got a free car wash.

I put off my car wash and checking my tires since I'm going Wednesday. Might as well take advantage!

How long did it take?

It took two hours. They finished at 2pm PST (appointment was at 12). If they don't offer the car wash, ask them. They did in Washington State and its raining.

Make sure they use "touchless" car wash! You don't want those rollers rubbing against your paint job...

I just checked on the Honda site, and punched in our VIN (manufactured early June 2014). There they were, both the
'ignition coil" and the "M-CVT pulley Shaft". Both said recall incomplete. I will wait for the letter from Honda, then make an appointment.

We were lucky enough to miss the front bumper recall, but not lucky enough to miss these I guess.

Oh well......free hot dogs, popcorn and soda for me on dealer day!

Well, if you go to Crest Honda, I might see you there around noon. No recall, just the lure of free hot dogs *burp*.

All I get at my dealer is coffee.

Oh well, there's a Costco down the street where I can get a hot dog, plus there's a really good ice cream place two doors down.

Customer Appreciation Day at Crest Honda. They've got both ends of the spectrum covered. On the opposite corner is Crest Cadillac.

Thanks. I'll let y'all know my times. My car has been perfect, but at least I don't have the CVT recall too.

Last Oil Change at my Honda dealer in August, they discontinued the Car Wash they have been offering for more than 8 years on cars in for service or recall due to the California Water Shortage.

They are only washing New Cars prior to delivery and that is it for the life of the car.

Only one hour, and I had a donut with my coffee. Even better, the car is noticeably quicker and more responsive, plus I got 42 mpg indicated on a short trip I just took when I would have expected mid 30s!
Bad news: no keychains.

I did notice after i got it serviced that it seemed a little quicker when accelerating from a stop. I was not sure if it was the engine coil replacements (per recall) or the CVT adjustments (per recall as well).

Yay?
