How to remove the armrest piece that actually flips up

Hi there, I want to know how to remove the piece that flips up and is attached to the top material of the armrest, it has a hinge that goes back into the centre console and I cannot work out how to remove it.

Thanks in advance...

I cannot help much but here's a parts diagram...

thread from replacing shift knob #19 by Apex Racing -> Hondaline Parts -> View large diagram

Link from SheepNutz:

breakout diagram from SheepNutz

Part #9 liike like a hinge that screws into part #18, the padded top

From Sheepnutz photo you can see the hinge screws on the sides, top back of the arm rest...

from SheepNutz. At the rear and top of the arm rest you can see a bolt for the hinge.

From the very top of this photo you can see the arm rest pivot bolts. You might just need to remove the rear plate to expose the bolts. Follow his thread but only remove the rear plate...

From SheepNutz, after removing the rear plate from the bottom, both sides. You can barely see the arm rest pivot bolts at the top...

Maybe this helps?
