Front Psngr Strut Replacement at 26k Miles

I had a strange sound coming from the front passenger side of my car. Sounded kind of like a flat; just a soft type of knocking/thud sound, especially if I hit a bump or a crack or something. It didn't improve or get worse really. Just consistent knocking. More than just the sound, I would swear I could feel the tiniest vibration in the seat and steering wheel when it would happen.

Took it to the dealer and it was diagnosed as a dead strut. They replaced my "strut, strut cap and strut bearing" on that side and the problem is gone. The repair was done under warranty. I had 26,000 miles on it at the time.

Just wanted to report here. I've been too lazy to get onto TrueDelta, but I will.

Other than this, the bumper recall and (now) the coil recall, I've had no other worrisome issues with the car including fit and finish type stuff. Built 6/2014, vin in the low 12,000s.

I also had the front passenger strut replaced. I was able to grab the wheel and wiggle it around. It was most noticeable when going over uneven ground that would cause oscillation. It pretty much sounded like the strut was bouncing around, like a loose top nut.

Did replacing the strut fix your loose wheel? If you could wiggle your wheel back and forth it sounds more like a tie rod problem.
